Ruby Sams Obituary
Ruby is survived by her children, Hansford Sams (Peggy) and Sheila Henson (Raymond). She is also survived by the following grandchildren: Colby Henson (Lindsay), Trevor Sams (Ema), Autumn Hubbard (Dominic), and Lauryn Smith. She is also survived by two unborn great-grandsons. She is also survived by the following siblings, Willie Gene Smith (Theresa), Jolena Sizemore, and Ronnie Wayne Smith (Martha Ann), along with a special cousin, Joyce Carol Couch.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Farris and Rose Smith; husband, Reubin Sams; son, Roger Sams; and the following siblings: Christaline Caudill, Marie Hoskins, Cloyd Smith, Lula Mae Davidson, Amel C Smith, and Sally Smith.
Known to many as Mamaw Ruby, she made sure you never left her house hungry or thirsty. Mamaw Ruby worked her entire life to hopefully one day be in the arms of our Heavenly Father. Though we will miss her dearly, we are all assured she reached her ultimate goal and is now healed.
Services for Ruby will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, November 5th, at Britton Funeral Home, with Joe Smith and Mike Cottongim officiating. Burial will follow in the Manchester Memorial Gardens.
Visitation for Ruby will be held at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, November 4th, at Britton Funeral Home.

Ruby and I are Gray first cousins. We were girls together, along with her sister Lula May. We played in the corn fields, ran the creeks, picked berries and any other chore that Aunt Rose gave us. At night we slept on blankets on the floor. I can still feel and cherish those wonderful memories. I will never forget you. Go with God my sweet cousin
