Ruby Smith Obituary
She was born to Ross Elmer Arnold and Arva Ida Hestand Arnold on September 29, 1930 in Seminole County, Oklahoma. Ruby was a homemaker who enjoyed quilting and creating jewelry using small shells. Camping was an essential part of the family activities in the early days as the children were growing up.
In addition to her parents, Ruby was preceded in death by her first husband Audley Conway Clifton of 31 years, and Robert Clayton Smith of 5 years; her daughter Joyce Sharon Avey, grandson Erik Ross Clifton, as well as her brother Donald Arnold and sister Rose Ella Borba.
She is lovingly remembered by her sons Ross Clifton, Ceres CA, David Clifton (Gwen) Bayview, Idaho, son in law Jim Avey of Merced, 5 grandchildren including Shannon, Theresa, Matthew, Richard and Amber, and 8 great grandchildren.
There will be a viewing on February 9, 2024 at Allen Mortuary, 247 North Broadway, Turlock, CA at 9AM to 11 AM followed by a graveside service at Turlock Memorial Park, 575 N Soderquist Rd, Turlock, CA at 1 PM.
