Ruby Lee Sutton

Ruby Hensley Sutton passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 22, 2025, in Pataskala, Ohio, at the age of 91. She was born in 1934 to the late Cora and Charlie Burt Hensley. Ruby was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. After teaching for a few years, she dedicated her life fully to her family as a devoted mother and homemaker. She was known for her kind spirit and tireless dedication to creating a warm, loving home for her husband and son in Pataskala.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Walter Sutton; her parents, Cora and Charlie Burt Hensley; her brother, Robert Hensley; and her sisters, Betsyann and Flora Hensley.

Ruby is lovingly remembered by her son, James Patrick Sutton; and her devoted sisters, Kathleen, Edith, and Terry. She will be deeply missed by her ten adoring grandchildren: Jackie and Bob Rutan (Webster, NY), Noel and Ryan Buurman (Gahanna, OH), Christine and Josh Conley (Columbus, OH), Taylor and Alex Hoehn (Reynoldsburg, OH), and Lauren and Hannah Neate (Marysville, OH). She also leaves behind five cherished great-grandchildren: James Rutan, Calvin Rutan, Odette Rutan, Ryker Buurman, and Ryleigh Buurman, along with many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at 1PM in the Chapel of the Henson & Rich Funeral Home with the Rev. Joe Hale officiating. Burial will follow at Alva Cemetery in Pathfork, KY. Steven Hatfield, Mark Helton, Alex Hoehn, and Josh Conley serving as pallbearers. Visitation will also be on Wednesday from 11AM-1PM at the funeral home.
