Ruby G. Tipton

Ruby G. Tipton, 93, of Stuttgart passed away Sunday, Nov. 16, 2025, at Chambers Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Carlisle.

Mrs. Tipton was born May 4, 1932, in Ethel, Ark., to Chester H. and Alice Lokey Price. She worked for many years as a sales associate for Wal-Mart-Stuttgart and following retirement from there she worked as a very dedicated caregiver for many Stuttgart families. Grandma Tipton’s cooking was an expression of her love. Her homemade pecan pie and chicken and dressing created lasting memories and traditions that will carry on through her loved ones. She shared valuable lessons in her treasured talks, and her love was often reflected in the meals she made and shared.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Tipton; their sons, Gary Tipton and Stephen Tipton; brothers, Charles Price and Cecil Price; and sisters, Maxine Owens and Elsie Price.

Survivors are her grandchildren who were the light of her life, Chris Tipton (Mary), Michael Tipton, Beth Tipton, Jamie Chlapecka (John) and Daniel Tipton; and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services, officiated by Bro. David Inzer, are 2 p.m. Saturday at Turpin Funeral Home chapel with visitation one hour before. Burial will be in Frazier Cemetery.

The family would like to give special thanks to Laurie Freeman for the wonderful care and friendship she gave to our grandma over the years.
