Ruby Tudahl Obituary
Ruby Avilda Tudahl, 93, of Edina, MN died on Monday, July 17, 2023, at her home.
Ruby was born on April 8, 1930, in Norway Township of Fillmore County to Ole and Nilla (Kinneberg) Tudahl. She attended country school at Highland Prairie and was a 1948 graduate of Peterson High School.
In her early twenties, Ruby and her sisters Viola and Betty moved to the Twin Cities where Ruby worked for the Minneapolis Star Tribune for 40 years, retiring from there in 1995. Her family was very close. Ruby loved to cook for her friends and family and always made sure to have special cookies for her nieces when they visited. When she and her sisters would come home to Peterson, Ruby would always stay in the same room of the Wenneson B & B.
She is survived by her extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and seven siblings: Norman, who died in infancy, Olga, Norman, Linda, Leland, Viola, and Betty.
There will be a memorial service for Ruby at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 4, 2023, at Grace Lutheran Church in Peterson, MN with Reverend Sarah Walker Brown officiating. A luncheon will follow.
Burial will be in the Highland Prairie Lutheran Cemetery.
