Ruby Vincent Obituary
The daughter of Lescoe and Alberta (Decker) Briggs, Ruby was born July 11th, 1934 in Kirksville, MO. On May 24th, 1958 in Kirksville, she was united in marriage to Forrest Vincent.
Ruby is survived by her children, Steve Vincent and wife Geri and Connie Followwill and husband Ronald; Grandchildren, Amber, Aaron, Vanessa, Cameron, and Canaan; Great Grandchildren, Aubri, Blayden, Braylee, Brantley, and Rhett; Brothers, Joe Briggs and Bill Briggs; and Sister, Cathy Cunningham. She was proceeded in death by her husband, sister, Nadine Briggs, and brothers, Larry Briggs, Lowell Briggs, and Jim Briggs.
Ruby grew up in Kirksville and graduated from Kirksville in 1952. She worked at the Florsheim shoe factory for over 40 years until her retirement. Ruby enjoyed gardening, canning, and fishing with her husband Forrest. She loved getting to spend time with her kids and grandkids. Ruby loved the lord and was a member of the Galt Christian Church and was attending Fellowship Baptist church after she moved to Kirksville.
The visitation will be Tuesday, December 27th, 2022 from 5-7 p.m. at Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Kirksville. The funeral service will be Wednesday, December 28th, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home with Stan Richardson officiating. Burial will follow the service at Rose Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be to Rose Cemetery.
