Ruby Jean Wagner, 57 of Burton, passed away Thursday, November 6, 2025.
Ruby was born April 25, 1968 to Jimmie and Billie Jean Eckert. She was baptized on July 28, 1968.
She loved to fish and was always ready for a fishing trip. Ruby also loved cooking and was great at creating new recipes for her family to try.
On March 27, 2010, she married Michael Wagner.
She is preceded in death by her father Jimmie Eckert and her brother, William Eckert.
Survivors include her husband, Michael; her son and daughter-in-law: Jessie and Kaitlyn Fritz; her step-son and daughter-in-law: Andrew and Allison Wagner; her mother, Billie Jean Eckert; her sisters and brother-in-law: Carol and Billy Clow, Kathy Baily; brothers-in-law: Brian Wagner, Jason Wagner, grandchildren: Alexis Fritz, Allen Fritz, Hunter Wagner, Wyatt Wagner and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 11 at Memorial Oaks Chapel. The funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 12 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Greenvine with Pastor Jody Winston officiating.
Pallbearers include Craig Gouldson, Andrew Wagner, Michael Moudry, Luke Eckert, and Joneric Koontz.
The family would like to thank Brenham Nursing and Rehab for the care they gave Ruby during her time there.
Memorials may be given to Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Greenvine.
