Ms. Ruby Lee Washington passed away on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at her residence in Saginaw, Michigan. Age 62 years. Ruby was born March 6th, 1963, in Isola Mississippi to Dorothy Lee Washington and Tommy Lee Jones. Her smile could light up any room as she loved putting her makeup and clothes on exuding her bubbly personality.
Ruby enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and being together with family at gatherings. She loved to write poetry, listen to classic blues music, dance, cook, read and watch her favorite TV shows.
Ruby leaves to cherish her memory three sons, Delvin (Tiffany) Washington, Tyrone (Quentenette Pipkins) Washington, and Carl (Franchesca Vazquez) Washington; 14 grandchildren; four siblings, Collins (Wanda) Washington, Barbara Washington, Celestine (Samuel) Gipson, and Annette Washington; one daughter-in-law, Arricka Washington; two sisters-in-law, Ethel Washington and Shirley Cork; a special niece, Christine Wilson and a special nephew, Darius Morris whom she considers a son.
Ruby was preceded in death by her son, Vernon (Arricka)Washington, mother, Dorothy Lee Washington; father, Tommy Lee Jones; stepmother; Mary Lou Jones; brothers, Roosevelt Jr. (Shirley) Washington, Melvin Washington, Willie Washington, and Percy (Ethel)Washington, ;sister, Dorothy Ann Washington; grandfather, John Johnson; grandmother, Alberta Johnson; uncle, Nathaniel Johnson, Racha Johnson, William (Mary Lou) Byrd and, John Johnson Jr.; nephews, Torrie Aunn Ruth and Christyle Washington, and fiancé Christopher Allen Crisp.
