Ruby Marie Wedgeworth was born May 1, 1938, in Mendenhall, MS to James "Jim" Perry Wiles and Annie May Wiles. The family moved to a small farm in Plain MS, now Richland, and this is where she was raised alongside her 2 sisters, Bobbie and Jo Ann. She had 2 children, Theresa and Kavanaugh, that she considered her greatest accomplishment in life. She lived her life with an uncompromising tenacity, fierce love and conviction, and a sass unrivaled. She believed life should be spent dancing and fussing with those you love. She woke up every day saying, "Okay Lord, whatever we got today, let's get to it" because she knew He was never far from her, that He was with her through every storm. She had "a never give up" mentality. She believed if you find yourself at the bottom, then you better fight and scrape and claw your way back up. Staying there was never an option. She received her salvation at age 12. She said, "I was so afraid to walk down that aisle with everyone watching, but I just felt it, I have to do this, like I was being pulled. And, low and behold, I looked behind me, and I wasn't the only one like I thought. Sometimes, you have to do what scares you. Sometimes, if you do what scares you, it gives others the courage to do the same." Her greatest happiness came when she was surrounded by her grandchildren and great grand babies. She would fight the world to keep them safe and cross it to bring them joy. She came last in the need department. As long as everyone else had what they needed, that was what mattered. She loved playing sports, especially softball. Her favorite activities were dancing, drinking a good cup of coffee, watching the birds from her porch, fishing, cutting grass with her zero turn, and playing with her great grand babies.

Today, she is home. When she was told there was no cure for her cancer, only the hope of slowing it down, she said "well I guess I won't be ringing any bell." The doctors were wrong. There is a cure. The cure of eternity with a God that never left her. The bells of Heaven are ringing for her because today she is healed.

She was preceded in death by her parents Jim and Annie Wiles, her husband Dan Wedgeworth, her son Julian Kavanaugh "Kavan” Thomas II, her sister Bobbie Long, her son-in-law Robert Love Jr., and her great grandchildren Gabriel Love, Angelica Love, and Barrett Lightsey.

She is survived by her daughter Theresa Love, her sister Jo Ann Sims, grandson Adam Love (Blanca), granddaughter Whitney Lightsey (Ben), and 5 great grand girls Annie Lightsey, Belèn Love, Angel Love, Evie Lightsey, and Jocie Lightsey.

Hebrews 12:1-2  Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before Him He endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
