Hey, Rudy! We chased you and went inside a phone both by Dr. Rodman Snelling, just as he was trying to convince some wealthy investors that our school was sane. Saturday work patrol for the both of us! Rest in peace, Rudy.

I met Rudy at one of his favorite antique shops haunts on Royal Street. He was the client of a co-worker, Michael, who shared many of Rudy's personal enthusiasms.
Rudy was always interested in what was going on in New Orleans, and enjoyed his meals in our city. Michael even managed to send him some favorites from Galatoire's and Antoine's, packed in dry ice, when we shipped furnishings up to Michigan.
Several years ago, Rudy brought the whole family to New Orleans with him, and had a grand time.
Christmastime at our shop will not be the same without the famous Becker Kringles coming from Racine!
It was always fun to have Rudy come to shop. He will be missed. My condolences to all who loved him.

I met Rudy back in the early 1970´s when he and Cary were living and going to school in Connecticut. I, myself was a student at UConn and we saw each other often. He would drive straight through from Detroit to Hartford. Often he would take me for late night drives in that little Jaguar and would blast the music so loud that we couldn´t talk. When we did talk it was often about politics. Can you believe that in those days he was a liberal? We shared a distaste for Nixon and I felt it bonded us. Rudy drastically changed his politics over the years, but we had good times in the disagreements.
He was a wonderful brother in law. He was generous and fun to be around. My family was always welcomed and spoiled in his house and we always looked forward to visits.
I feel an emptiness now that he is gone that won´t be easily filled. It was beautiful to see all his friends and family come together to celebrate his life.
You made my life richer and happier by your presence. Rest well, my friend.

I have many amazing memories from my yearly visits to Michigan to visit the family. Rudy took me Salmon fishing, just the two of us. I can still see the excitement and pleasure on his face with the wind blowing through his hair as the boat took us out. Rudy always took great pleasure in taking us out for dinner to one of his favorite restaurants. He would order an extraordinary amount of food starting with bottles of wine and appetizers! There would be more food than we could possibly eat on the table before we even looked at the menu! No matter how much I ate he would insist that I have more! Rudy lived a great life always surrounded by family and friends. These last few years he truly had the opportunity to experience all of the things he wanted to, never complaining and always thanking God for the time he was given.
