Rudy Rodriguez, 65, of Houston, passed away in his home on September 26th, 2024. He was born February 11th, 1959, in Houston, Texas to the late Ernesto Rodriguez and Estella (Diaz) Rodriguez.
Rudy spent his early years growing up on a ranch in Harris County surrounded by his beloved family. He always wanted to be like his father. He followed in his father's footsteps and worked for Harris County for 35 years. Rudy attended Prince of Peace Catholic Church with his family. He served as eucharistic minister, member of the Knights of Columbus and volunteered with RCIA Faith Formation.
Rudy loved spending time grilling and barbecuing for his family. He enjoyed music, dancing and classic vehicles. He was knowledgeable and proficient with mechanics, construction and repairs. The family benefited from his loving expertise.
He is survived by his loving wife, Gloria Rodriguez of 25 years; four sons: David Chavez, Omar (Kimberly) Chavez, Nicholas Chavez and Jacob Rodriguez; grandsons: David Chavez, Wyatt Chavez, and Barron Chavez; three siblings: Ernesto (Sarah) Rodriguez Jr., Esperanza Padron, Chris (Polly) Rodriguez; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Including his parents he was preceded in death by his son Adrian Rodriguez and siblings: Jesus Rodriguez, Maria Elena Mata, and George Rodriguez.
