He was born on April 21, 1981 in Chalatenango, El Salvador, the son of Jose Eduardo Chávez Rodriguez and Maria Angelica Mancia Romero and they survive.
Other survivors include two children, Ruth Sanchez and Angel Jair Mancia-Sanchez and 8 sisters and brothers, Victoria Carolina Chávez, Ana Maria Chávez, Brenda Christabel Chávez, Josue Eduardo Chávez, Roxana Beatriz Chávez, Angelica Elizabeth Chávez, Adela del Carmen Chávez, and Sarita Isabel Chávez.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Rufino Chávez and Victoria Rodriguez and maternal grandparents, Orlando Romero and Maria Mancia.
His favorite hobbies included fishing, hunting, spending time with his family, and taking care of his dogs.
Funeral services will be at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, August 22, 2025 at Knapp Funeral Home in Watseka.
Visitation will be from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Friday, August 22, 2025 at Knapp Funeral Home in Watseka.
Burial will be held at a later date in El Salvador.

Nació el 21 de abril de 1981 en Chalatenango, El Salvador, hijo de José Eduardo Chávez Rodríguez y María Angélica Mancia Romero, quienes le sobreviven.
