Rufus Jackson, born on August 4, 1942, entered eternal rest on April 19, 2025. A beloved figure to many, Rufus leaves behind a legacy of kindness, laughter, and memories that will forever resonate in the hearts of those he touched.
Throughout his life, Rufus was known for his infectious spirit and warm smile. He had a gift for bringing people together, often finding joy in the simple pleasures of life. His unwavering dedication to family and friends was evident in every aspect of his being. He made it his mission to spread happiness wherever he went, often leaving behind a trail of cherished moments and laughter.
The community will gather to honor Rufus at Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas, located at 4155 South R. L. Thornton Freeway, Dallas, TX 75224. On May 7, 2025, a viewing will be held from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM, allowing friends and loved ones to pay their respects. Following the viewing, a Prayer Service will commence at 7:15 PM, allowing everyone to share prayers and memories of the incredible man Rufus was.
The celebration of his life will continue the following day, May 8, 2025, with a Funeral Service at 3:00 PM. This event promises to be a heartfelt tribute to a remarkable individual whose life touched so many, honoring not just the man he was, but the love and joy he shared with everyone around him.
Rufus Jackson will be deeply missed, yet his spirit will forever be a guiding light in the lives of those who were fortunate enough to call him a friend. As we gather to remember him, let us cherish the love and joy he brought into our lives, knowing that his memory will live on in our hearts.
