Rufus Stokes Obituary
STOKES: A service honoring the Life and Legacy of Mr. Rufus Stokes of Jonesboro, Georgia who passed December 21, 2023 will be held Wednesday January 3, 2024, 9:00 a.m. at Legacy Funeral Home, 8968 Fayetteville Road, Jonesboro, Georgia; Officiant Ps Sewell, Eulogist Dr. Gwendolyn Stokes Clash. Interment to follow at Georgia National Cemetery, 2025 Mount Carmel Church Lane Canton Georgia. 2023. He is survived by his devoted wife, Earlyn Stokes, sons Jeremy Tyrone Murphy, Rufus F. Stokes III, stepsons, Duane, and Dirk Smile, grandchildren Tyja and Nyla Murphy, Ariana Smile, other grandchildren, a sister, Dr. Gwendolyn Stokes Clash, aunts, uncles, nieces & nephews, and cousins. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the chapel at 8:30 a.m.
