Russell L. Beckett

Russell L. Beckett, 87, of Marion, passed away at 3:13 pm on Sunday, February 1, 2026, at Wesleyan Health Care & Rehabilitation Center in Marion. He was born in Muses Mills, Kentucky, on Monday, October 31, 1938, to Archie and Virginia (Hinton) Beckett. On March 3, 1957, he married Priscilla Snyder, and she preceded him in death on May 1, 2013.

Russell graduated from Sweetser High School. He worked at Ball Foster as a skid steer operator for many years before his retirement in 2000. He previously worked at Sutters Dairy in Marion.

Russell liked cars and always traded in his vehicles to have something nice on the road. In his younger years, these vehicles included motorcycles that he loved to ride. He was an avid Indianapolis Colts fan and liked to hunt and fish. He enjoyed mowing and tending to his lawn and going for walks. He also enjoyed watching TV and movies, especially old westerns and Gun Smoke. More than anything, Russell loved seeing and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his daughter, Pamela Davis of Marion; grandchildren, Erin Beckett, Christopher Beckett, Timothy (Christian) Riggs, Jr., and Ryan (Fina Liscano) Riggs; 6 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; plus, several nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Archie Beckett; mother, Virginia O. Beckett; wife, Priscilla Beckett; son, Kenneth L. Beckett; brother, David A. Beckett; and sister, Katy O'Moore.

The family will have a private service to celebrate Russell's life. Burial will take place at Estates of Serenity.
