Russell Arthur "Paw D" DiSalvo, Sr., 84, died Monday, November 10, 2025, at 1:23 AM surrounded by family. He was a native of New Orleans and resident of Houma, LA.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Maria Immacolata Church from 9:00AM until 11:00AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00AM following visitation. Burial will be held in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2.
He is survived by his daughters, Lisa DiSalvo Hurst and husband, Jody, and Denise DiSalvo Dupre and husband, Terry Sr.; his sons, Russell A. DiSalvo, Jr. and wife, Kay, Michael J. DiSalvo and wife, Lisa, John C. DiSalvo and wife, Nicole, David W. DiSalvo and wife, Jessica, and Anthony S. DiSalvo and wife, Megan; grandchildren, Nicole DiSalvo (Alyssa), Russell DiSalvo III (Brittany), Gabrielle Kimble, Danielle Kimble, Megan Blanchard (Daniel), Katelyn Hurst, Ryan Hurst (Lauren), Terry Dupre, Jr. (Addie), Matthew Dupre, Seth DiSalvo, Brittney Falgout (Luke), Jonathon DiSalvo, Ryan DiSalvo (Krislin), Bennett DiSalvo, Mary Grace DiSalvo, and Hudson DiSalvo; great-grandchildren, Cohen DiSalvo, Charleigh DiSalvo, Edie DiSalvo, Etta DiSalvo, Lily John, Levi Blanchard, Emily Blanchard, Baylie Blanchard, Lena Hurst, Ella Hurst, Estelle Dupre, and Oliver DiSalvo; in-laws, Elaine Willig, Donald Willig (Jackie), and Rose Willig.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 53 years, Edna Willig DiSalvo; his parents, Salvatore and Marie Amato DiSalvo; in-laws, John Bennett, Jr. and Ethel Maltry Willig; Ethel Willig Cannata (John), Melvin Willig (Patricia), and Mervin Willig (Joan).
He was the owner/operator of Quality Office Supply for 41 years, together with his wife, Edna. He was a dedicated and great provider whose commitment was driven by his deep love for his family and faith in God. His legacy is defined by his relentless work ethic, and his dedication will forever be cherished. He was known as "Paw D" by his grandchildren. He enjoyed bowling, casino trips and having lunch with his friends, The Grumpy Old Men. He was a parishioner of Maria Immacolata Catholic Church and was a member of the Kiwanis Club and Knights of Columbus.
Special thanks to Dr. Dickie Haydel, Haydel Memorial Hospice, Terrebonne Home Care, The Suites of Sugar Mill Point, Father Joey Pilola, his personal sitters and numerous friends that have assisted with his care and prayed for him throughout his journey. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in the form of mass intentions for Russell and Edna DiSalvo, Sr. or donation to charity of choice.
