Russell Dorsett Obituary

Russell pastored 13 churches from 1985 to 2016. He also loved his family and would use every opportunity to embarrass them. His happy place was spending time with his granddaughters. He was also very proud of all nephews/nieces and their families.
Russell is survived by his wife of almost 48 years, Jewell Dean Dorsett; son Michael (Ivy) Dorsett; granddaughters Alex (Chris) Bell, Zoey Dorsett, Reagan Dorsett, Emalin Dorsett, Myka Dorsett, Russelyn Dorsett, and Ellie Dorsett.
Russell was preceded in death by his father, Rev. Roy Dorsett and mother Pauline Dorsett; sisters Sue James and Ann Weaver; brothers Ralph Dorsett and James Dorsett; and son Russell Eric Dorsett.
Visitation was Sunday August 18, 2024 at Adam's Brown Funeral Home at 1:00 with Funeral following at 2:00. Burial at Oak Hill Baptist Church.
