Linda, Having had the joy of growing up with all the McRaes and all the Gouldrups, please know how sorry I am about Russell's passing. He and Stevie have been such good friends these last several years, helping me to stay close to all the news with you and yours. It's an honor and a wonderful blessing knowing Russ through our Faith Baptist Church Family. He never fail to say kind and encouraging words to me after Worship Service. My heart is heavy knowing we especially his family will miss him so dearly but also rejoicing for such fond memories he left us and comforted by the assurance that he is now with our Creator. Until we see you again Russ!

I met Russ while working with Don Lindsey at Fernandes Lumber. I admired his friendly greeting every time Russ came in and always enjoyed helping him find the tools he needed for his projects.
Never did I realize that we were both Vietnam Vets, until now. Rest In Peace Russ.

Russ was my bushwhacking buddy, and I have been blessed to have known him and I will dearly miss him. His smile would just light you up, his stories were a joy to listen to, and off gunning as he would call it (Hunting) was an adventure. More than anything he loved his Lord, and we talked often of the joy that waited for us in heaven. We would joke that when we get to Heaven we would have all of eternity to go bushwhacking. I will miss you with all my heart my friend, pick out some of the best places to go and set a compass heading. We'll see you someday...
In Jesus Love.

My heart felt condolences to the Gouldrup family. Some of my most cherished memories as a kid are playing baseball with Gary and being coached by Big Russ. His knowledge of the game and ability to teach it were simply amazing. He had a big impact on my youth. A wonderful man and a life well lived.
