Russ was an important member of the Hurd family. He as always there for you when needed. We will miss him.

Russ, I would like you know how influential you were in my teaching career. You always provided yeaching & guidance that made perfect sense to me as a non-traditional teacher coming right out of the Navy. As I start my 20th year of teaching this fall, I hope you will come watch my middle schoolers and I as we once again take on the world and try to make it a better place! Rest in peace my friend!

Dr. Hurd impacted so many people in a positive way. Of all the teachers I ever had, he stood out as the most compassionate and caring person. He shaped my career and I´ll always be grateful. His work will live on through all the educators he inspired. Rest in peace my friend.
