Russell K Jackson, a resident of Boise, Idaho, died peacefully on Friday, December 30, 2022. He was born on January 12, 1936, to the late Cress and Margaret (Burke) Jackson of Ontario, Oregon, and Weser, Idaho.

Russell is survived by his brother Andy Jackson, sister Margie Jackson, son Richard Jackson, son Michael Newman, daughter Vicky Purcell, daughter Lisa Drinkall, 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 1 Great great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his mother Margaret and father Cress Jackson ,wife Christy Jackson, and son Steven Jackson.

A Celebration of Life will be held later this spring, location to be announced. His ashes will be placed at Dry Creek Cemetery alongside his wife, Christy Jackson.

Russell was born in Weser, Idaho. Graduated from Vale High School and attended TVC Community College. Russell lived in the Oregon, Idaho region, most of his life. Where he worked Ranching, Running heavy construction equipment , and for the U.S Forest Service, and later worked and retired from Morrison–Knudsen. He married Christy Templeton on May 2, 1964.

Russell enjoyed outdoor activities such as camping and playing with heavy equipment. Once Russell retired, he enjoyed Cowboy shooting and won many awards for his shooting skills, including a National Shooting award. Russell was featured in the National Shooting magazine highlighting The Cowboy shooting.

One of Russell's favorite sayings, it is what it is.

Russell loved his family and was loved by his family. He will be missed but never forgotten.
