Russell Briscoe King III

Awww, oh dear.
This world lost a good man, a great friend and an inspiring optimist. I am profoundly saddened by his passing.

Most would never know of me, as I only had the privilege of meeting Russell's mother back in the day, when he was manager of the cinema where I knew him, and at a time where he was struggling personally in finding his way. His mother graciously allowed me into her home to be a friend to them both.

I was there for Russell during the passing of his father, that troubled him more than words could describe. And Russell was there for me during the passing of my little sister. I could never have managed that tragedy without his help . He always spoke so fondly and proudly of his mother and of his sister, Dottie. His face would light up when he shared about them each.

Russell had such a love of dance & music. This is where we found our connection ... dancing the night away at a nearby place, called Studebaker's, after closing down the theater for the night.

And while almost everyone would never know about me, I stand today a better person for knowing this man -- as I crossed paths with him in the early 80's ... at a time where I needed a friend the most ... and long before his personal family and trajectory successes would emerge.

I offer my heartfelt thoughts of love and compassion for the family & life of friendships that he enjoyed throughout his lifetime.

Offering my best wishes and hopes for peaceful hearts to all who loved him.
