Russell George LaBarre entered eternal rest on Monday, August 29, 2022 surrounded by his loving children and their loved ones. He leaves behind son Matthew LaBarre and wife Jennifer Frederici, daughters Elizabeth LaBarre and husband Nick Layton and sons Nicholas and Owen, Leah Schultes and husband Ryan and sons Wyatt and Colton, sons Jacob LaBarre and wife Amanda and son Eli, and Cainan LaBarre and Hilary Morgan. He was a wonderful father and provider who raised exceptionally happy children who love him dearly and will miss him every day of their lives. He is predeceased by his first wife and first love Kim LaBarre, son Nathan LaBarre, sister Coleen Weiss, brother Charles LaBarre and his parents Donald and Stella LaBarre formally of Conklin. Russell was an intense electric entertaining person who was remembered by all who met him. His stories were enthralling. He did everything with passion and perfection. Russell was a loving and generous rebel. He accepted people as they were. He was a true hardworking hard playing fearless Good ole Boy character who loved to hunt and fish and ride and instilled these traits in his children. Russell spent his life in Conklin and for the majority and up to the end of his life in the house that he built himself for his family. Russell graduated from Susquehanna Valley High School. After working with his brother and father in his youth he began RGL Inc. in 1985 and successfully serviced areas throughout New York and Pennsylvania with the same enthusiasm he did with everything else. Sons Jacob and Cainan and their mother Ileta LaBarre have continued his professional legacy. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, September 10th, at 10:00am, at the Hawleyton United Methodist Church, 901 Hawleyton Road, Binghamton. Burial will be in Conklin Cemetery. We remember the boisterous young boy who loved hunting, snowmobiling, and playing pranks on everyone and the laughing young man who played hard and worked hard, taking care of his family and friends. Life circumstances change us, but Uncle Dan and Aunt Diana and his cousins Theresa and Chris...and his Uncle Dick and Aunt Bonnie and his cousin, Patti and his many other cousins on his mom's side of the family are sad for his children and loved ones, and we will miss him terribly, but we choose to remember the laughing young man from years gone by that touched our hearts and made us laugh. Praying for his loved ones to find comfort and peace in the coming days....Love, Uncle Dan and Aunt Diana

Russell, I remember we were so close as kids and young adults that we could almost read each others' minds and marveled at the times we'd even have the same dreams on the same night. I hope you've found Eternal Peace and the angels wrap you in their loving arms. I'll miss you forever, Baby Brother.
