RUSSELL LAWRENCE LOWN, 82, of Fair Oaks Ranch, died June 30, 2007, after a brief illness. A life long San Antonian, Russell graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School where he was the captain of the band. After serving in the Army Air Corps during World War II, Russell completed his education at Texas A& M University Â'46 where he was president of Hillel. He remained a loyal and exuberant Aggie. Russell spent his career as an architect, engineer and builder. Russell loved to travel and left his mark on the world with buildings of his design and construction standing on three continents--North America, Europe and Asia. Russell also left his mark through his many good works, his adored and adoring family, and his close and loyal friendships. He was much loved and will be much missed. Russell Lown is survived by his beloved wife, Lois, his daughter, Ruth, cherished cousins, many valued friends and associates. He was preceded in death by his son, David. Honorary Pallbearers were Richard Alterman, Howard Britton, Howard Davis, Joseph Gronich, Mike Kavy, Adam Ratner, Lawrence Salter, and Walter C. Wolff, Jr. Memorial contributions may be made to the Texas A & M Hillel Foundation, 800 George Bush Drive, College Station, Texas 77840, or Terem Emergency Medical Centers, 7 Rehov Mem-Gimmel, MDA Building, Romena, Jerusalem, Israel, P. O. Box 36005, Jerusalem, Israel 91360 or the charity of the giverÂ's choice.
