Russell Glen McCullough, affectionately known as Rick or Ricky, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loved ones Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at the age of 67, after a battle with pancreatic cancer.
Born on June 23, 1958, to Richard and Jessie McCullough in Baltimore, Maryland, Rick was admired for his deep knowledge in the home improvement field, especially electrical work-a skill he proudly learned from his father. His craftsmanship and willingness to help others left a lasting mark on everyone who sought his guidance. He was an extremely kind, loving, and dedicated person, who would help anyone without hesitation. He spent his life doing what he was very proud of.
Rick's greatest joy was his family. He cherished every moment spent with them and found true happiness in being a devoted son, brother, partner, father, and grandfather. Beyond family, his passions included riding his Harley Davidson and cheering for the Baltimore Ravens, both of which brought him immense pride and joy.
Rick is survived by his life partner, Patricia Cress; two sisters, Joddi Akers (Teddy) and Cheryl Massey (Eric); his daughters, Amanda McCullough and Samantha McCullough; and his four beautiful grandchildren, Jayce, Colton, Denver, and Brewer, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Jessie McCullough, and his beloved grandmother, Jeannette Manning ("Granny").
Family and friends may visit on Friday, December 5, 2025, at Hardesty Funeral Home in Gambrills from 2–4 pm or 6–8 pm. A service celebrating Rick's life will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at 10 am at Hardesty Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Epiphany Episcopal Cemetery in Odenton.
Rick will be remembered for his generosity, humor, and unwavering loyalty. His legacy lives on in the hearts of his loved ones as he rides his Harley through the golden gates of heaven, and his memory will be treasured always.
in lieu of flowers, the family will be collecting new, unwrapped toys for Toys for Tots.
