Just heard about Russ passing today. So sad to hear this. He was a really nice guy everone seemed to like; how could you not!!!

So sorry to hear of the passing of your husband and father. Russ was such a role model to so many, children and adults alike. Many years ago I remember saying to Mr. Rivers (portage elementary principal)that Russ was a man I don't recall ever seeing frown or in a bad mood, such a great sense of humor too. Russ and Jill were always so kind to my family, especially to Michael and Rachael when they were growing up. Please know that all of you are in so many thoughts and with heavy hearts at this time. My sincere condolences to you all.

It really hurts when we lose a long-time friend. Jill, I wish all of you in the family strength to make it through the grieving process. Know we are here for you if you need us.

Great friend, great neighbor....Russ was a friend to all and generous to a fault! His ready smile made all feel welcome. He loved and was loved. He will be missed!!!! Love and prayers

For 11 years I walked in the office at 7am and had the pleasure to talk with Russ every morning, he was more than a co worker he was one of my closest friends. He gave me advice and I watched what he went through, please know that Russ battled like no one I have ever seen, and always had a smile, from all of us at the Building Department we will miss our friend.

Rest in peace Rusty, my condolences and prayers go out to you family and friends. I will miss your quick wit and grin. You were a good man to have in B-Town.
