Russell Nunnally Obituary

Nunnally Sr., Russell P.

entered into rest on Friday, May 17, 2024, at the age of 90. Reunited with beloved first wife Katherine, nee Kochera, and loving second wife Loretta, nee Leubbert, Nunnally. Blessedly survived by cherished children Russell "Russ" (Kathy) Nunnally Jr., Patty (Ollie) Burger, Jackie (John) Horvat, and Dave (Brenda) Nunnally. Adored grandfather of Tony, Joe, Sam, Oliver III, Heather, Nick, Tim, the late Kyle, Davis, and Caroline; cherished great-grandfather of Trenton, Liam, Lucy, Piper, Kharington, Oliver IV, and Molly.

Russell was a firefighter, protecting the City of St. Louis for 30 years before retiring, though he remained a member of the Retired Firefighter Association of St. Louis until his passing. Russell also shared his time by working in upkeeping the maintenance at the Sister of St. Joseph Convent.

In his free time, Russell was an avid reader and was known to read the newspaper front to back every day. He also loved to travel to Madeira Beach in Florida whenever he could. In the coming days, Russell will be remembered for his love of the St. Louis Cardinals and desserts. May he rest in peace.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to The Backstoppers.

Russ and Kathy,
We´re so sorry about the loss of your father. Even though we moved to FL about 20 years ago, we like to keep up on our St Louis friends, especially our WGPD friends. You´re in our thoughts and prayers.
