Russell Runyon Obituary
Russell Richardson Runyon, Age 102 . Passed Away on October 2nd, 2023.
Russell was born August 6th, 1921 in New Albany, KS. He was the last of 12 siblings to survive.
He served in World War II and was Honorably Discharged from the Army Air Corps. He served in China, Burma, India and Okinawa.
Russell retired after 32 years from Oilwell Division of US Steel Corporation in 1982.
He was a life member of the Elks Lodge, VFW and American Legion.
Survivors include Daughter Debra Coates of Casper, WY. Grandsons, Brian (Shaun) and Russell (Lesli) of Casper, WY. Great Grandchildren, Finn, Gracie and Ryleigh.
His Daughter Brenda Howard and her husband Darrell of Katy, TX. Grandchildren, Lauren Forbes and husband Taylor of Boston, MA. Sarah Howard of Washington, DC and Trevor Howard of New Providence, NJ.
A Memorial Service will be held at Oregon Trail Veterans Cemetery on Friday, November 3, at 2:00 pm.
The family welcomes you to join us following the service for a time to visit and share stories of Russell. Please note the location below.
In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to a Charity of Donor’s Choice.
