RUSSELL “RUSS” J. SCHWEBACH
Russell James Schwebach the son of Henry and Delores (Kahl) Schwebach was born November 23, 1958 in Sheldon, Iowa. He attended school in Paullina graduating from Paullina High School in 1978. He was united in marriage to Lori Kuehl on September 21, 1985 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Granville, Iowa. After their marriage the couple lived in various places before settling in Paullina to make their home. Russ was involved in trucking and farming which he did for many years. He returned to trucking until February of 2020 and went back to farming working for Schmit farms until he retired. He passed away on Sunday January 12, 2025 at the Cherokee Regional Health Center in Cherokee reaching the age of 66 years 1 month and 19 days.
He enjoyed spending time with his family driving truck working on the farm, helping a neighbor work on Figure 8 car, and riding horses and dirt bikes.
Russ is survived by his wife Lori Schwebach of Granville, Iowa; two sons Ethan Schwebach of Paullina, Iowa and Duncan Schwebach of Sutherland, Iowa; his mother Delores Schwebach of Remsen, Iowa; two sisters Kay Peterson of Port O’Connor, Texas and Melissa (Jim) Skinner of Paullina, Iowa; two brothers Camron Schwebach of Sheldon, Iowa and Gary (Mary) Schwebach of Remsen also many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father Henry.
