Russell Alan Settle Sr.

Russell Alan Settle, Sr., 61, of Owensboro, Kentucky died Monday, January 4, 2010, at Owensboro Medical Health System. He was born on November 13, 1948 in Owensboro. He retired as a heavy equipment operator for the TVA Paradise Steam Plant. He was a member of First Baptist Church. He was also a member of Operating Engineers Local 181 and Masonic Lodge #957. He enjoyed bird hunting and spending time with his family and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, Gladys Settle, in November, 2000. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Debbie Settle; a son, Russ A. Settle, Jr. and wife, Anna of Owensboro; a daughter, Lisa Settle Taylor of Owensboro; four grandchildren, Katherine, Clark and Kegan Settle and Jacob Taylor; his father, Kenneth Settle; two brothers, Terry Settle and wife, Janice of Owensboro and Craig Settle and wife, Michelle of Bowling, Green, KY and several nieces and nephews. Services are a 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 7, 2010, at First Baptist Church in Owensboro. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery in Owensboro. Visitation is from 2:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory in Owensboro and after 9:00 a.m. on Thursday at First Baptist Church.
