Russell (Rusty) Jay Witte, age 57, of Churchton, Maryland, passed away on Wednesday, July 16, 2025. He was born on April 14, 1968, to Richard and Libby Witte and grew up in Silver Spring, Maryland. Rusty dedicated 25 years to Hill and Sanders Ford in Wheaton, Maryland, where he worked as an auto body and paint specialist. His childhood was often spent at his Aunt Carol and Uncle Larry's home on the Chesapeake Bay. He moved to Churchton to be closer to friends and family and was baptized at Cedar Grove Methodist Church.

Rusty was known as a kind and helpful person, always willing to lend a hand as a mechanic and handyman. He is survived by his sons, Rick and Stephen Witte; his mother, Libby Witte; his brother, Greg Witte; his sister, Deb Sneath; his Aunt Carol and Uncle Larry Reed Jr.; and his cousins, Dwayne Reed, Kevin Reed, Suzy Witte, and Stevie Witte. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Albert Witte; his son, Tim Beall; his uncle, Kenneth Witte Sr.; his cousin, Kenneth Witte Jr.; his grandmother, Alberta "Red" Witte; his grandfather, Lawrence Reed Sr.; and his grandmother, Jackie Reed.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Cedar Grove Methodist Church in Deale, Maryland, on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at 10 am. The family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Cedar Grove Methodist Church.
