Rusty Len Smith, 45, of Dallas, Texas, passed away peacefully at home on June 25, 2025. Born on June 6, 1980, to Peggy Smith and the late Charles Smith, Rusty was known for his big heart and free spirit. He had a passion for sports, a big personality, and was rarely seen without music playing—he especially loved to rap along to his favorite songs. Above all, Rusty was a devoted father whose greatest joy was his children. His humor, loyalty, and unforgettable spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Rusty is survived by his daughter, Patience; his son, Corey; his mother, Peggy; his brother, Jeff; his sister, Cindy; his sister, Donna; and many other loving relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Smith, and his stepfather, Charles Wilson.
Rusty’s light will live on through the memories he gave and the love he shared.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Quinlan Funeral Home.
