Ruth M. Adams

Ruth M. Adams 87 died peacefully Saturday October 20th at her home surrounded by her family. Born in Woodstock, MD, Ruth was the daughter of the late Rufus and Ruth (Fair) Kemp. A graduate of Ellicott City high School ,Ruth retired as a payroll clerk at the Albany Thruway House in 1985 after 20 years of service and had previously work for Sealtest and the Hotel Van Curler. A member of the Rotterdam United Methodist Church, life member of the Rotterdam Democratic Club, the Nurturing and Fellowship Committee of the church, she was also a former financial secretary at the church. Ruth is survived by her beloved husband of 66 years Francis C. Adams, her children, Ernest C. Adams (Barbara) of Roswell, GA and Wendy L. Nelson (Garth) of Ballston Lake, grandchildren, Michael Adams(Rebecca), Matthew Adams (Laura), Ammon Nelson (Calie), Sarah Nelson and Jordan Nelson, great grandchildren, Canaan, Merrick, Maddox, Mason, Adalynn, Crewe and Bennett. A visitation will be held on Friday evening October 26th from 5 to 7 pm at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Ave., Schenectady, NY. Funeral services on Saturday morning October 27th at 9 am at the Rotterdam United Methodist Church, 1915 Helderberg Avenue, Schenectady, NY. Interment in Memory Gardens, Colonie, NY. Contributions in Ruth's memory may be made to the Rotterdam United Methodist Church.
