Ruth Ann was born September 5, 1945, in Macon, Missouri, the daughter of Gail and Louise (Stroppel) Leist. She went to a one room schoolhouse for 8 years in Excello, MO. She then attended Macon High School in Macon, where she graduated in 1963. After high school, Ruth Ann attended cosmetology school in Independence, MO. She married Kenneth Morgan on November 30, 1963, in Minot, ND and was a military wife for 3 years. Ruth Ann was the owner of Ruthie's Hair and Tanning Salon for over 20 years. She was an avid fan of the KC Chiefs and Royals.
Ruth Ann is survived by her husband, Kenneth Morgan; son, Scott Morgan (Betsy); four grandchildren: Gracelyn, Blayke, Joshua, and Benjamin Morgan; sister, Mary Margaret Nash; and a host of family and friends that loved Ruth Ann dearly. Preceding her in death were her parents; son, Kevin J. Morgan; and brother, Robert Lee Leist.
