Ruth Henkle Audler

Ruth Henkle Audler, age 98, passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home in Chalmette on December 6, 2025 with her son Raymond by her side. Mrs. Audler was a 30-year resident of St. Bernard Parish and was undeterred when she lost her first home in Chalmette to the flood waters of Hurricane Katrina in 2005. Her son Raymond rebuilt and refurbished another property in Chalmette, LA and that is where she lived until her death.

Mrs. Audler was preceded in death by her husband Charles H. Audler, Sr., her older sister Marjorie Virginia Henkle and loving son Ronald Ross Audler. She was the beloved mother of Ruth Audler Mathes and Raymond Louis Audler. She is also survived by son Charles H. Audler, Jr., 8 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family of Mrs. Audler would like to gratefully acknowledge Notre Dame Hospice for the loving in-home care they provided to our mother over the course of the past year. It truly made a difference in all our lives.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service at 11:00 AM on Monday, December 15, 2025 at Tharp Funeral Home, 1600 N. Causeway Blvd., Metairie, LA 70001.
