Ruth Chambliss, age 92, of Xenia, passed away on April 21, 2025. Ruth was born on February 13, 1933 to the late Roy and Jesse Shaw.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George Chambliss, Sr.; sons, Kenny Chambliss, David Chambliss and George Chambliss, Jr.; and her grandchild, Brian Chambliss.
She is survived by daughters, Nancy (Jeff) Newcomer and Cindy (David) Erbaugh; sons, Kevin Chambliss and Scott (Sharon) Chambliss; grandchildren, Christy Hyer, Jeremy Chambliss, Cresta Newcomer, Aaron Newcomer, Dusty Chambliss, Brittany Edwards, Josh Erbaugh, Ryan Erbaugh, Derek Chambliss, Justin Chambliss, Katelyn Chambliss, Kourtney Chambliss, Hailie Chambliss and Addison Chambliss; great-grandchildren, Jessica Newton, Shawna Hyer, Lindsay Chambliss, Jordan Chambliss, Cody Chambliss, Tiaja Newcomer, Tyler Newcomer, Trevyn Newcomer, Tariyah Newcomer, Musa Newcomer, Selma Newcomer, Emmy Chambliss, Chloe Chambliss, Brandon Edwards, Carson Lafollette, Dakota Edwards, Kyiden Chambliss, Gracie Erbaugh, Leland Erbaugh and Wyatt Erbaugh; great-great grandchildren, Clayton Newton, Josie Newton and Willow Newcomer; as well as her daughter-in-laws, Marsha Chambliss, Freda Chambliss and Lothel Chambliss.
She married George Chambliss, Sr. on November 29, 1949.
Ruth retired from Hospitality Home as a Nursing Assistant after 30 years.
Visitation will be held from 12:00pm-1:00pm on Friday, April 25, 2025 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek), where funeral services will begin at 1:00pm.
Ruth will be laid to rest with her husband at Middle Run Cemetery (3484 Middle Run Rd, Waynesville) following the service.
