Mrs. Ruth Craig, age 88, of Westmoreland, TN, passed away January 30, 2025. She was born October 7, 1936 to the late Sanford Samuel Sanders and Bessie Annie Jernigan Sanders in Big Sandy, TN.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Catherine Muldoon; her son-in-law, Ricky Sweatt; and her grandson, Joe David Sweatt.
She is survived by her husband, James Craig; her children, James S. (Becki) Craig, Patricia Sweatt, Ronnie (Helayne) Craig and Becky (Joey) Anderson; her two brothers and four sisters; as well as eight grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Mrs. Craig was a member of The Church of God in Portland, TN for 13 years.
The funeral services for Mrs. Craig will be conducted Monday, February 3, 2025 at 2PM from the chapel of Woodard Funeral Home with Bro. Gary Riley and Bro. Phillip Deitz. Interment will follow in the New Hope Cemetery. Serving as active pallbearers will be Thomas Latimer, Jeremiah Latimer, Tom Latimer, Matthew Graves, Jimmy Craig, Jon Alley and John Cartwright. The family will receive visitors on Monday, February 3rd from 10AM till service time at 2PM at Woodard Funeral Home.
The family has entrusted Woodard Funeral Home with the care of their loved one.
