Ruth Dukes Obituary
Ruth, passed away on June 24, 2025, of Collingswood, NJ, formerly of Secane, PA, at the age of 86.
Preceded in death by her parents Daniel & Martha Dukes and beloved sister Joan Dukes Wiedenmann. Loving aunt of Joan (nee Wiedenmann) Steward (Ken, Sr.) and Ruth (nee Wiedenmann) Hosier (Chaz). Great aunt of Kenneth Steward Jr. (Stacey), Brian Steward (Amanda), Jennifer Weitzel (Paul), Michelle Croxton (Warren). Also survived by 9 Great-great Nieces and Nephews; Madelyn, Skylar, Carolyn, Aiden, Katelyn, Teresa, Noah, Michael, and Mia. Ruth was known in her family as Aunt Ruthie Dukes and the “Original” Aunt Ruthie. She is also survived by cousins and friends she held dear and was known for her deep love of dogs.
Ruth had a terrific zest for life and zeal for traveling the world including visiting all but 2 of the United States. She was a dedicated volunteer who gave herself to many organizations and charities that she was passionate about throughout her entire life, building lifelong friendships along the way.
Family and friends are invited to her visitation, Sunday, July 13th from 2:00-3:00 PM at Jackson Funeral Home, 308 Haddon Avenue, Haddon Township, NJ, where her funeral service will begin at 3:00 PM.
Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers contributions in her memory may be made to Hope Pantry, 200 Emerald Ave., Westmont, NJ 08108.
