Ruth Allie Elkins passed away peacefully on January 13, 2026, at the age of 93. She was born on June 29, 1932, in Dupont, Indiana, to Leslie Allen and Lillie McKinley (Jackson) Richards.
Ruth was a warm and loving mother, deeply devoted to her family. She found joy in sewing, quilting, gardening, and reading, and she generously gave her time to her community through many years of volunteer service with Meals on Wheels. Her faith was a steady source of comfort and guidance throughout her life and was reflected in the way she lived and cared for others.
Ruth is survived by her children, Ron (Gabrielle Bovenzi), Mike, Randy, and Connie, as well as many extended family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Maurice Elkins, and her son, Bruce. Her presence will be deeply missed, and her memory will be cherished always.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Robin Run Village Senior Village Chapel, 5354 W. 62nd St, Indianapolis at 10:30 a.m. January 22, 2026. The family will welcome visitors at the Chapel starting at 10 a.m., the memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. with lunch served immediately after the service in the Community Hall at Robin Run.
