Ruth LaReal Eyring

Was saddened to hear of LaReal´s passing. But also gladdened and amazed to learn of her longevity. I had the privilege of working alongside her for several years at the ASU Art Museum. Her volunteer service, dedication to the arts and keen sense of style and creativity brought so much to the museum. I learned so much from LaReal and consider her one of my many mentors in my career in the arts. For many patrons , the museum store was a highlight of their visit and a destination for wonderful gifts year round. She and her docents always reminded people that purchases made significant impacts on providing crucial funds for the collections and programs. I am forever grateful to her and the ASU docents for teaching me about the enormous value of giving to the community through volunteering.
