Ruth E. French, 92, passed away peacefully at her Canton Township home, surrounded by her loving family, on September 25, 2025. She was born September 28, 1932, in Cadiz, Ohio, to the late John and Helen (Neilson) Christy.
Ruth was a devoted member of Moreland Christian Church and an active participant in the Joy Circle Ladies group. She had a heart for service, always eager to help others and encourage their success. Her most treasured moments were those spent with her children, grandchildren, and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis W. French, who passed in 2021; her great-grandson, Devin French; two brothers and one sister.
Ruth is survived by her three children, Lewis W. French Jr. (Loretta Pirolozzi), Susan (Steve) Kaw, and Tracy (Richard) Lewis; 9 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 29, 2025, from 6:00–8:00 p.m., and again on Tuesday, September 30, from 10:00–11:00 a.m., one hour prior to the funeral service. The funeral will begin at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, with Pastor Suzanah Johnson officiating. All services will take place at Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home, followed by interment at Sunset Hills Memory Gardens.
Honorary pallbearers shall include Lewis French Jr., Greg Dowell, Kenneth Dowell, Tim Rush, John Lewis and Dan Lung.
