Ruth Hazel Guess, age 92, passed away on January 27, 2026. She was born on March 14, 1933, in Alliance, to Lucretia Moulin and Karl Brunner.
Ruth attended Maximo Zion Church. She loved Christmas and playing cards and Parcheesi with her family and niece, Debbie Grimsley, over the years. Ruth also enjoyed traveling and going to flea markets. She was devoted to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Diana Kay (Terry) Dwyer and Marilyn (Riley) League; eight grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and sister, Rena (Ronnie) Kindler.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roy C. Guess whom she married on July 17, 1954 in Manhattan, KS; daughter, Carolyn Hall; and siblings, Rita Todd, Robert Brunner, Rosemary Crogaret, Raymond Brunner, Ruby Paxon, Russell Brunner, Raylou Minor, Rhea Nestor, Rachel Brunner, Rhonda Brunner, Rhoda Kunztman and Ramona Yoho.
A Celebration of Life is being planned for the Spring.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Cherish Hospice of Canton for their excellent care of Ruth and her family.
