Dr. Ruth Virginia Hussey, of Crestview Hills, KY, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 16, 2024. Ruth was an amazing doctor who healed many. Her patients adored her. As a hobby, Ruthie would sew. She was known by her nieces and nephews growing up for making them elaborate Halloween costumes as well as beautiful matching children’s clothes. In later years everyone she knew enjoyed her beautiful monogrammed towels and other gifts. Although no children of her own, she was extremely close to her nieces and nephews: Billy (dec), Johnny, and Mike Schaffer, Teresa Brann, Susan Schoenbaechler, Jamie Hussey, Little Bob, Kristyn Vollmer, Lindsay House, Robbie Meek, and Katie Kennedy. She was always there for them and treated them as her own. She was very proud of all of her great nieces and nephews: Beau, Ashton, Ben, Owen, Colton, Austin, Blake, Brady, Audrey, Kinsleigh, Courtney, Kendal, Candice, and her great-great nieces and nephews Dawson, Collins, Rhodes and Cannon.
Above all, she loved her family and friends. She will be forever remembered and always missed. She will go on record for being the most athletic Hussey sibling-excelling in softball in her youth. She loved Chocolate Mousse, and Thanksgiving will never be the same without her infamous mashed potatoes and stuffing.
Visitation will be held at Middendorf Funeral Home (Ft. Wright, KY) on Monday, July 22, 2024 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM.
