Ruth Carole Jones

Ruth Carole Jones, 88, passed away peacefully in her home on Feb. 16, 2026. Born on Sep. 3, 1937 in Clinton, OK. Ruth lived a life defined by devotion, strength and perseverance. She was a woman of unwavering love and was the heart of our family. A steady presence in the lives of us all.

Ruth was a devoted wife to Robert (Bob/ Sam) and a proud mother, grandmother, great -grandmother and great-great grandmother. Her family was her greatest joy. She had a gift for making all of us feel special and welcomed, whether through a meal, picking something up to have at her house for when you visited that was just special to you personally or maybe a music or film lesson. Her laughter, wisdom and unconditional love will be deeply missed.

Ruth leaves behind a legacy of love through her children: Brenda, James, Lawrence and Danny. Her grandchildren: Gina, Bridget, Lance, Rachel and Ashley. 10 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren and all who were blessed to call her family and friend.

Though our hearts are heavy, we celebrate a life well lived and a woman well loved. Her memory lives on in the stories we tell, the traditions we keep and the love she planted in each of us.

A service will be held on Feb. 27, 2026 and 2pm at Sun City Emmanuel Baptist Church (Back Chapel) 12225 N. 103rd Ave. Sun City, AZ 85351 where flowers may be delivered.
