Ruth Carol Kurth

Ruth Carol Kurth, of Salem, passed away on December 6, 2025. She was born in Hartford, CT on November 6, 1935, to the late John and Bertha Yoo. After graduating from East Hartford schools, she met and married Alfred Kurth, who sadly predeceased her. Together, they had two children, whom they raised in East Haddam.

Throughout her life, Ruth was a dedicated mother and wife. She was a member of the East Haddam Fire Department in the 1960s and 70s, where she was a radio dispatcher. In her free time, Ruth enjoyed making ceramics, listening to her records, playing BINGO, and working in her yard.

Ruth will be sadly missed but always remembered with love by her children, Alfred and Maryann of East Haddam, and Kathy and Dennis of Stella, NC; her grandson Buckshot; and numerous extended family members and friends.

Care of arrangements has been entrusted to the Aurora McCarthy Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 10th, at 11AM, at the Salem Green Cemetery in Salem, CT.
