Mrs. Ruth Marie Kingrey Boggess, age 89, of Chapel Hill, TN, formerly of Danville, IL passed away April 26, 2024. She was born in Rossville, IL and was a daughter of the late Robert Brake and Hattie Allen Brake. Mrs. Boggess was a homemaker after retiring from her welding career with Velmont Industries. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Illinois. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Veachel Kingrey, a son, Danny Lee Kirts, a sister, Katherine Cook, and nephews, John Kingrey and Mike Kingrey.
Mrs. Boggess enjoyed going on vacation. She listened to country music, enjoyed dancing, and drinking a cold beer. She loved going shopping, especially thrifting, and finding new shoes. She enjoyed doing word search puzzles and going out to eat at restaurants. Most of all, she loved her family!
Mrs. Boggess is survived by her children, Tina Fraczek (Paul Landry) of Chapel Hill, TN, Ted Kirts (Pat) of Rantoul, IL; 5 grandchildren, Abby Pluss, Alexis Pluss, Lisa Kirts, Melissa Kirts, Troy Kirts; several great grandchildren; sister, Grace Brake of Lowell, MI; brother, Don Brake of Homosassa, FL; sister-in-law, Nell Kingrey of Danville, IL; nieces, Nancy Cook, Karen Cook, Sabrina Donnelly, Jeannie Valentine, Angie Calton, Mary Jo Perrin; nephews, Fred Calton, Don Calton, Scott Brake, Mark Kingrey, Randy Kingrey.
There will be a private family service at a later time.
