Ruth E. May

Ruth E. May, age 74 of Irwin, passed away on November 8, 2025 at Canterbury Place in Pittsburgh. She was born on June 4, 1951 in McKeesport, a daughter of the late John Konopka and Ruth Smith Konopka. Ruth attended Immaculate Conception Church in Irwin and she was a graduate of McKeesport High School in the class of 1970. Prior to her retirement, she was employed in the call center at the CVS in Wilkins Township. Ruth was known as a great cook and she also liked to bake. In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by one brother, Thomas Konopka. She is survived by two brothers, John Konopka (wife Nancy) and Charles Konopka (wife Diane), three sisters, Martha Kastronis (husband Arnold), Susanne Starkey, and Joanne Lawson (husband Bobby), and numerous nieces and nephews.
