Ruth was born into the family of George and Margaret (Peg) Reinhart in April 1947 in Ames, IA. They lived on a farm North of Nevada until later selling the farm and moving into Nevada where Ruth attended and graduated from high school in 1965. She belonged to quilt guilds and enjoyed playing cards at the senior center with her friends. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Boone and participated in many activities like designing table decorations for holiday bazaars and sewing banners for the church.
Ruth and Steve had a daughter, Dana and loved to be involved with her family. Her granddaughters and their puppies were a highlight of her life.
