Ruth Dudley Miles Gullatte, 84, of Phenix City, AL passed away on Monday, January 22, 2024, at Thrive Assisted Living in Columbus, GA.
Mrs. Gullatte was born December 2, 1939, in Crawford, AL, daughter of the late Berry Clifton Dudley and Bertha Mae Lane Dudley. She was employed with Aflac and retired after many years of faithful service. She was a lady of great character, grace, strong and determined in life with an attitude of simplicity. She loved being a homemaker and cherishing quality time with all her family; especially sharing stories and memories with all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed nature and the outdoors, hunting and fishing, cooking, gardening, and she loved fellowship. She loved the Lord and reading her Bible. She was a Christian by faith.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by the love of her life and husband of 42 years, Billy Miles; by her second husband of 17 years, Jack Gullatte, and two brothers, John Dudley, and Berry Dudley.
She is survived by her children, Mike Miles (Jan) and Robin Ingram (Bobby); two sisters, Miriam Webb and Diane Hathaway (Duaine); a sister-in-law, Carolyn Dudley; five grandchildren, Garrett Miles, Miles Ingram, Taylor Ogletree (Russ), Robb Ingram, and Hannah Sumpter (JT); three precious great- grandchildren, Logan Ogletree, Colton Ogletree, and Ella Ingram; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, and the entire Gullatte family whom she loved dearly.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held 3:00 pm EST on Friday, January 26, 2024, at Vance Brooks Funeral Home in Phenix City with Rev. Don Butler officiating. A private burial will take place at Lakeview Memory Gardens where she will be laid to rest with her husband, Billy Miles, who passed away in November of 2001.
