Ruth Yvonne Morelli, a devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished sister, passed away peacefully on May 14, 2025, at the age of 80 in Kansas City, Missouri.
Born on January 8, 1945, in Oakdale, California, Ruth was the daughter of Alfred and Ellen Branaugh (née Casey). She spent the majority of her life in Hayward, California, where she and her husband, Victor Morelli, made their home after marrying in 1966. In later years, Ruth and Victor retired to the Villa Toscana 55+ community in Sparks, Nevada, where they enjoyed a peaceful and fulfilling retirement.
Ruth dedicated over 20 years of her professional life as a legal secretary, known for her diligence and attention to detail. Outside of work, she was a passionate and involved mother, always present at her children's activities-cheering on her daughter Amber at equestrian and rodeo events and supporting her son Chad at countless baseball games.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Ellen Branaugh. She is survived by her beloved husband of 59 years, Victor Morelli; her daughter, Amber Nelson; her son, Chad Morelli; and her two sisters, Shirley Lassen and Sharon Padilla.
