Ruth N. (Hourin) Mulkern of Weymouth, wife of the late John J. Mulkern, passed away peacefully at the age of 80 years with her family by her side. Daughter of the late Evelyn McLaughlin and Douglas Hourin, Ruth was born in Boston and raised in Jamaica Plain and Dorchester. Ruth leaves behind her loving son Michael Mulkern and his wife Lisa and her cherished grandchildren Connor, Keelin, Kerry, and Cullen Mulkern of Marshfield. She also leaves behind extended family and friends.
A hairstylist by trade, Ruth loved to make her clients feel beautiful and special. She enjoyed travel, music, dancing, family gatherings, and her loving pets.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Assumption Parish Church, 40 Canal Street in Marshfield. Burial will be private.
